The Big Girls We adopted The Big Girls (L-R, Kisby, Chloe, Lavender) about 18 months after losing my sweet, "Little-Old-Lady" cat, Rasputin, who was an important constant in my world for nearly 22 years. Losing her hurt so badly that I was reluctant to let any new furbabies into my life for quite some time. The appearance and disappearance of an invited, yet potential new furkid, Xena (aka Kismet), ripped the wound open again, and I was sure I was just not ready. Then, we visited my brother- and sister-in-law over Thanksgiving, she was fostering a group of three littermates. Chloe was an aggressive salescat , and we got attached and felt compelled to save them from "Auschwitz." Initially, our plan was to take only two of them, but at the last minute we relented and took all three. We're especially glad we took Kisby, the one who was almost left behind. They're now grown up, and they've had to put up with the addition of The Little Girls to the household, an integration that has not gone especially well. Chloe has chosen to live outdoors, rather than accept Millicent, aka The Evil One. Surprisingly, she had no such problems with Miracle. The Girls are all rather unusual looking, a combination of long and short hair, tufts in their ears and between their toes, elegant bushy tails, and sweet but very individual personalities. Norwegian Forest Cats? They're all share a combination of long and short, silky-soft hair, with tufts in their ears and between their toes, elegant bushy tails, and very individual personalities. Some online and book research leads me to believe they do have Norwegian Forest Cat in their background. Poke around to see more about these cute catgoyles and our other feline friends. |
