Kisby Honey

Kisby's Theme Song (sung to tune of "Julie, Julie, Julie (do you love me)" (with apologies to whatever artist did it)

Kisby Honey

"Kisby, Kisby, Kisby says
"Please FEED me!"
Kisby, Kisby says
"Please feed me NOW!"
Kisby, Kisby says
"I'm really HUNGRY!"
Kisby, Kisby, Kisby says
"MEAT NOW!"

Winter's coming, time to get
that new fur coat on!

  Kisby & Chloe (back-front)

Kisby Honey (because her soft tabby coat has a reddish, golden honey-colored background) is our "special" girl.  When we adopted them, we were told that there were two girls and a boy.  The others were social and playful, but he was timid and reserved, and it never occurred to us to check the validity of what we'd been told about gender.  Imagine our surprise when our vet turned her over and said, "Oh, my, this one's a girl, too!"

What about the Kisby part, you might ask?  It certainly is an odd name.  Truth is, it's her own, special, made-up name.  Before her sex change, we'd been calling him Gatsby, but that somehow didn't seem appropriate for a female (why, you might ask, when you had a female cat named Rasputin??  but it just didn't, sorry.).   "Dad" wanted to call her Kismet, but Mom vetoed it (having previously assigned that name to a kitten who is no longer with us).  A friend said, "Well, why not Kisby?" and it seemed a reasonable compromise.
